What to expect...
When leaving from the Marina:
You will board the boat from the newest dock in the Fonatur marina. Our staff will meet you and you will easily see them with their Reef Rider shirt and hat. Here is a pin of the location of the Reef Rider boat: https://reefriders.net/boat/
If you have a rental car there is ample parking at the marina.
When leaving from a hotel pier/dock:
We will give you a time for pickup. Please be at the pickup location 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
When on the boat:
You will be shown your gear and we will ask you to double check that you have everything you need for a great day of diving. We will discuss dive site options and you are welcome to suggest any that you have your heart set on. Some dive sites will be weather and diver skill dependent and the ultimate yes/no decision is up to the guide leader and captain. Please understand that we do want to meet requests whenever possible. We will notify you when we are within 10 minutes of the dive site so you can do whatever preparations you need complete and then we will have a dive briefing.
Filtered water is always available on the boat, and we provide fresh fruit and snacks in between dives during the surface interval.
When renting equipment:
Who doesn’t enjoy a little sprinkle of salt water when using a rental regulator? No one, and you can expect top notch equipment from Reef Riders. We have an extensive line of Aqua Lung BCD’s, Aqua Lung regulators, and Scuba Pro fins. We continuously inspect and test our equipment and we have a ton of new equipment.
When diving with your own equipment:
If you are diving multiple days with Reef Riders we include dive gear valet service. Leave your gear with us and we will rinse it, store it, and it will be waiting for you on the boat your next dive. If you wish to tip the person doing this service separately from your dive leader and captain please inform your dive leader.
