Wow me and my friends really had the best time. I heard so much about the snorkeling in Cozumel and I was so impressed by the wildlife I was shown by Ramon. Everything about this experience was great from the equipment to the food and the guidance. I could not have asked for a better time I really really recommend you go here , we had the boat to ourselves and got to play our own music. We saw everything from lobsters, lots of different kinds of fish, star fish, stingray and EVEN A SEA TURTLE. After a recent trip to Cozumel, I chose to do my rescue diver and divemaster certification with Rámon and Reef Riders. I was hesitant to even embark on the journey of becoming a divemaster, but Rámon was there every step of the way as my mentor and cheerleader. I spent 6 weeks on the island and logged 50+ dives in every open dive site in Cozumel's marine park! I led a handful of dives (including a twilight dive!) and assisted divers of all skill levels. I even conducted a Discover Scuba Diving training with a new friend I made on the island. I gained confidence in my abilities as a diver while learning to think like a divemaster. This could never have happened without Rámon's help. I ultimately chose Reef Riders because of its size and owner. It was vital for me to learn from a local and to have 1:1 instruction from the divemaster. These attributes are virtually unheard of in a diving mecca like Cozumel. Rámon went out of his way to guide me with the patience of a seasoned instructor. He cares deeply about his work and attention to detail. Over the 6 weeks I spent on the island, Rámon took time out of his day to meet with me over coffee or breakfast to discuss the days ahead and answer any questions I had about the course and training. He was available to chat about anything I needed help with and offered clear communication about expectations and outcomes of the course. He even welcomed me to outings with his beautiful family to experience Cozumel's culture. I cannot recommend Rámon and Reef Riders enough. A terrific day out with Ramon on a private snorkeling tour-we went to 3 different spots, one with lots of fish (and a few sharks, lobsters and a turtle) another spot with lots of turtles and another with starfish and stingrays. We ended on El Cielo beach eating fruit and chips and guac in the water among the stingrays. The whole crew was friendly and patient, and easily able to accommodate both very advanced divers and those working on their skills. Dive groups are small with a great ratio of Dive Masters to divers, rental equipment is new and in great shape, the boat is fast and the snacks are good. His kindness, knowledge and experience is something I was not expecting when I booked the final portion of my open water certification. The equipment is excellent, the boat is new, the captain is awesome and the diving is amazing. Reef Riders is by far the best part of our trip to Cozumel and cemented our decision to come back.
