Our 10 diver boat (but we only go out with a max 8 divers and 2 guides) and 2 x 150 HP Yamaha engines gets you diving sooner while others are still waiting.

When using the boat for snorkel charters we have padded seats and even more seating space without dive gear onboard. 

GPS, marine radio, first aid kit, and oxygen tank on board is how dive boats should be operated but you do not always see these safety options on other boats.
